On Sunday, the Trinidads went to visit Great Grandma Socorro and Great Grandpa Martin for Grandma Virginia's Birthday. We visited La Salle, Colorado, for the occasion and we had a nice afternoon with family. La Salle is where Virginia grew up.

Grandma Virginia, Audrina, and Aunt DoraVirginia and Dora are sisters - Dora was born next after Virginia. Factoid: They both love making chip sandwiches - chips smashed between two pieces of bread - any kind of chips.
Neither know how they came about this food invention, but both giggle when they tell how much they enjoy them. :)

Audrina and DiegoAudrina is 5 weeks old and Diego is 35 1/2 weeks old.
Great Grandma Socorro sat around the kitchen table and answered all kinds of questions about Virginia and when Virginia was born. Virginia was born late in the afternoon and her labor was not too long. Socorro said that Virginia weighed 6lbs 9 oz and she was born at home in Mexico. It was a real treat to sit around and talk with Socorro - she told us many things about her experience as a Mother, both heartwarming and saddening. The afternoon was spent learning about the past and laughing about stories past and present.
